Seeking experienced Orange Door Hub Practitioners to undertake intake and assessment duties in a locum capacity. There are opportunites to work both onsite or fully WFH, for the next 2 - 6 months.

Salary - $61.60 per hour + super

About the Role:
We are recruiting experienced Orange Door Hub Practitioners to work in a locum capacity for the next 4 months. These roles range from onsite - to fully remote, providng intake and assesment, supporting women and childern who have experienced family violence.
Key Duties:
- Prioritise the safety of victim survivors and children using a gendered understanding of family violence and an understanding of child and family vulnerability;
- Initiate contact with clients in response to referrals to the Hub and provide support and a source of information and advice with a focus on risk assessment and engagement;
- Work collaboratively as part of an integrated practice approach to respond to the needs of children, young people and families experiencing family violence and vulnerability concerns;
- Following legislative and policy guidelines, seek information from multiple sources to inform assessment of risk and planning;
- Adopt a level of seniority and accountability in elements of day-to-day decision making.
Skills and Experience:
- Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Psychology or related field
- Minimum 6 - 12 months working in an Orange Door Hub
- Advanced understanding of family violence theoretical frameworks and interventions
- Comprehensive MARAM training and expertise utilising this with victim survivors and people who use violence
- Thorough understanding of child development and the issues that vulnerable children, young people and families face, including sound knowledge of the Children, Youth and Families Act 2005.
You will also need to be willing to provide 2x professional references + undergo a Working with Children Check and Police Check.
