๐ฟ Therapeutic Family Violence Counsellor
Permanent Ongoing | Full-time or Part-time 0.8 | Fairfield + Outreach | SCHADS Level 5+
- Tradewind is currently recruiting for a compassionate and skilled Therapeutic Counsellor to join a well-respected community organisation on a permanent ongoing basis.
- This is a meaningful opportunity to support women who have been impacted by family violence, delivering culturally safe and trauma-informed counselling services in a supportive, trauma-aware setting.
๐ผ About the Role:
Provide culturally safe, trauma-informed therapeutic counselling to women impacted by family violence
Work primarily from the Fairfield office, with outreach to Dame Phyllis Frost Centre and other locations as required
Participate in outreach and collaborative case planning with internal teams and external stakeholders
Support healing, recovery, and wellbeing through a holistic and respectful approach
โ What You'll Need:
Qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling or related field (Diploma minimum)
Demonstrated experience providing counselling to women impacted by family violence
A strong understanding of trauma, gendered violence, and intersectionality
Commitment to cultural safety, respect, and inclusive practice
Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently in outreach settings

Location: Based in Fairfield with outreach to DPFC and other locations
Type: Permanent ongoing
Hours: Full-time or Part-time (EFT flexible and to be confirmed)
Pay: SCHADS Level 5 (dependent on experience) + super + salary packaging
Extras: Access to fleet vehicles for outreach
