Family Violence Practitioner - Eastern Suburbs
Salary - $97K- 102K (depending on experience) + super + salary packaging

About the Role:
We are recruiting an experienced Family Violence Practitioner to work with a leading not for profit organisation. The role will provide specialist family violence services to vulnerable families in the Eastern Metropolitan Region. You will be responsible for intake, completing assessments and respond to immediate needs for Aboriginal clients seeking support arond Family Violence.
Key Duties:
- Deliver quality intake, assessment and referrals for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women who are affected by family violence and their children.
- Completing short term case management, including crisis response to Aboriginal clients seeking support in the
- Complete intake processes, complete MARAM and assessing needs as well as formulating care plans for supports needed.
- Engaging respectfully and appropriately with Aboriginal clients.
- Completing all reporting requirements, such as case notes, assessments, closure reports, incident reports and all other reported as required.
- Work in a collaborative manner within the multi-disciplinary team and proactively engage in learnings to continuously improve practice.
Skills and Experience:
- Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Psychology or related field
- Minimum 12 months experience working in a Family Violence Program
- Understanding of family violence theoretical frameworks and interventions
- Comprehensive MARAM training and experience utilising this with victim survivors and people who use violence
- Understanding of the historical and contemporary issues that impact on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and their communities.
You will also need to be willing to provide 2x professional references + undergo a Working with Children Check and Police Check.
