Job Description
Tradewind are working with a co-educational Catholic Secondary school near Dundas who are searching for a passionate VET Construction teacher to join their team in term 1 2025. This is an ongoing full-time position. The successful applicant will teach Construction to years 11 and 12 and preferably teach stage 4 TAS mandatory and Stage 5 design and technology.
Demonstrated Experience and Skills
- qualifications to teach construction and TAS
- demonstrated strategies to cater for a variety of learners and respond to a dynamic learning environment
- desire to work as part of the wider school team
- evidence of a relational approach to colleagues, students, and parents
- effective organisation and ability to fulfil administrative and assessment requirements of a teaching role
- excellent communication skills
- ability to achieve strong academic results
Prerequisites
- Eligibility according to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA)
- Tertiary Qualification (minimum 4-year degree, or 75% complete)
- Valid Working with Children Check (for employment purposes)
- Have unrestricted working rights in Australia
- Ability to provide contact details for two education-based references
