Job Description
Tradewind are working with an independent co-educational school in Southwest Sydney, that are seeking a passionate TAS teacher to join them in the role of Head of Department on a full-time, permanent basis starting Term 1, 2025.
This is a unique opportunity to lead the TAS department and support student's and staff alike. As well as the leadership element of the role, the successful candidate will teach stage 6 industrial technology and/or food technology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Stage 6 Food Technology and Industrial Technology.
- Lead the TAS (Technology and Applied Studies) department to deliver engaging, student-centred learning experiences.
- Develop, implement, and review curriculum materials and resources.
- Support students' academic and personal development.
- Uphold and contribute to the school's Christian values and mission.
Key Requirements:
- Relevant teaching qualifications and experience in Food Technology and/or Industrial Technology.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive Christian learning environment.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with staff and students.
Essential Criteria:
- Tertiary qualification in Education.
- Demonstrated commitment to the school's Christian ethos.
- Valid Working with Children Check (WWCC).
