Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Support Coordinator to help our participants in the Gladstone and Toowoomba regions navigate their NDIS packages and receive best practice services and supports.

You will play a pivotal role in expanding our support coordination services in the Queensland Region and ensuring our processes, procedures, work practices and programs deliver effective outcomes for our people.

On a day-to-day basis you will work with our people and their support networks to ensure they have access to truly person-centred services and supports and provide guidance and advice that ensures they can meet their individual goals and improve their quality of life.

As you know, every day is different when working in the disability sector, but you can expect to have responsibility for the following key tasks:

  • Apply person-centred approaches to service delivery in the region and build strong professional relationships with service users, their family members and carers.
  • Ensure service users maximise the use of their NDIS packages and support them with relevant and meaningful NDIS reviews.
  • Develop strong professional relationships with external stakeholders and attend key stakeholder meetings to advocate for the individual support needs of service users.
  • Business Development activities like building connections in the community and promote Magenta's Support Coordination services.
  • Monitor individual support coordination budget, manage billable hours effectively and deliver a level of support appropriate to individual NDIS budgets.
  • Compliance, Risk Management and WHS practices and procedures


Essential Requirements include:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role;
  • Hands on experience providing supports to people with disabilities;
  • Robust knowledge and understanding of the NDIS;
  • Strong and extensive professional networks to support service users to access relevant and suitable supports;
  • Demonstrated experiencing with reporting processes and keeping accurate and detailed client records;
  • Experience managing NDIS budgets;
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check;
  • Working with Children's Check (Blue Card);
  • COVID-19 Vaccine as per QLD Health directive;
  • National Police Check (issued within the last 12 months);
  • Current First Aid & CPR Certificate;
  • Current Australian Driver's License;
  • Own vehicle with comprehensive car insurance;
  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant area will be highly regarded.
