About the Role:
Are you a dedicated and enthusiastic Secondary Maths teacher looking for an exciting opportunity? Tradewind is proud to partner with a highly regarded Islamic International Baccalaureate (IB) accredited school, offering a rewarding role teaching General and Methods Mathematics to students in Years 7-12.

Key duties:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive math curriculum that aligns with The Victorian Curriculum
- Create engaging and interactive lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
- Use a variety of teaching methods and resources to effectively convey mathematical concepts and problem-solving strategies.
- Provide timely feedback to students on their performance and progress in math.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the individual needs of students, including providing additional support or challenges as needed.
- Engage in continuous professional development to stay updated on best practices in math education, teaching methodologies, and curriculum development.
- Collaborate with other math teachers and school staff to share resources, ideas, and best practices.
Skills & Experience:
- Unrestricted working rights in Australia
- Current VIT registration
- Tertiary Qualification (minimum 4-year degree- at least 1 year teaching qualification)
- Demonstrate previous experience in teaching Secondary Maths in Australia- VCE Methods experience essential
- Supportive of school ethos and faith
- Ability to provide contact details for two education-based references from within the last 5 years (student-teacher mentors are acceptable).
Offering:
- Commencing as a full-time, position with a flexible start from Term 3, 4 or 2025
- Instructing year 7-12 students in Maths Methods/General Maths and or, under the IB Program (training provided for IB stream)
- Engaging with accessible and transparent leadership
