Job Description

The Role:

Tradewind is thrilled to partner with an excellent independent grammar school, seeking a passionate Mathematics teacher for Years 7-10. This full-time, ongoing role offers the chance to engage students in a dynamic and well-resourced learning environment that values academic excellence and holistic development.

Key Duties:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive math curriculum that aligns with The Victorian Curriculum
  • Create engaging and interactive lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • Use a variety of teaching methods and resources to effectively convey mathematical concepts and problem-solving strategies.
  • Provide timely feedback to students on their performance and progress in math.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the individual needs of students, including providing additional support or challenges as needed.
  • Engage in continuous professional development to stay updated on best practices in math education, teaching methodologies, and curriculum development.
  • Collaborate with other math teachers and school staff to share resources, ideas, and best practices.

Skills & Experience:

  • Have unrestricted working rights in Australia
  • Teaching Qualifications
  • Current VIT registration
  • Experience in teaching Secondary Mathematics in Australia essential
  • Ability to provide contact details for at least two education-based references from within the last 5 years
