About the Role:
Are you a passionate Secondary Maths teacher looking for a chance? Tradewind are proud to work with an excellent Islamic International Baccalaureate accredited school, offering a wonderful opportunity to work with students in years 7-10, starting in 2025.Serving approximately 1600 students from years P-12, this exceptional school welcomes both graduates and experienced teachers. Key duties:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive math curriculum that aligns with The Victorian Curriculum
  • Create engaging and interactive lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • Use a variety of teaching methods and resources to effectively convey mathematical concepts and problem-solving strategies.
  • Provide timely feedback to students on their performance and progress in math.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the individual needs of students, including providing additional support or challenges as needed.
  • Engage in continuous professional development to stay updated on best practices in math education, teaching methodologies, and curriculum development.
  • Collaborate with other math teachers and school staff to share resources, ideas, and best practices.

Skills & Experience:

  • Unrestricted working rights in Australia
  • Current VIT registration
  • Tertiary Qualification (minimum 4-year degree)
  • Demonstrate previous experience in teaching Secondary Maths in Australia
  • Supportive of school's Islamic ethos and faith
  • Ability to provide contact details for two education-based references from within the last 5 years (student-teacher mentors are acceptable).
