The Role:

Key Duties
- Design and deliver lessons aligned with the Victorian Curriculum and the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) standards, ensuring students achieve learning outcomes.
- Teach subjects related to Information Technology (IT), including but not limited to programming, web development, databases, networking, cybersecurity, and digital technologies.
- Identify and support students with varying learning needs, including those with learning difficulties or advanced abilities. Provide additional resources or adjust teaching methods as necessary.
- Stay updated with the latest trends in technology and education by attending professional development sessions, workshops, and conferences.
- Manage and maintain the IT resources within the classroom, including hardware, software, and online tools. Ensure that these resources are functional and up-to-date.
- Organize and supervise extracurricular activities such as coding clubs, robotics teams, or participation in IT-related competitions.
Skills & Experience:
- Must have unrestricted working rights in Australia
- Hold a valid VIT registration
- CECV Accreditation to teach in a Catholic School (or working towards)- school can support this
- Experience in VCE Maths advantageous- graduates welcome to apply
- Understanding of the Vic Curriculum- experience teaching in Vic/Australia
- Minimum 4-year bachelor's degree containing a teaching qualification, with further study an advantage
- Ability to provide contact details for two education-based references from within the last 5 years from upper management
- An understanding and appreciation of Catholic teachings, values, and traditions are essential for teaching within the Catholic system, or a preparedness to be working within this system
