About the Role:

We're seeking a dedicated English and Psychology teacher to become an integral part of a dynamic and supportive educational community. This full-time, ongoing position begins in Term 1, 2025, offering a fantastic opportunity to inspire and guide students in their learning journey from juniors to seniors.

Key duties:
- Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons in English and Psychology, aligned with the Victorian Curriculum and VCE study designs.
- Develop and implement teaching strategies that cater to diverse learning needs and promote student engagement.
- Assess, record, and report on student progress in a timely and accurate manner, using formative and summative assessments.
- Collaborate with colleagues to design and review curriculum plans, ensuring alignment with school priorities and educational standards.
- Develop resources, lesson plans, and assessments for both English and Psychology subjects.
- Provide academic support and guidance to students, including study skills, goal setting, and exam preparation.
- Strong expertise in English and Psychology curriculum, including VCE-level teaching.
- Ability to manage classroom behaviour and create a conducive learning environment.
- Participate in school activities, staff meetings, and professional learning sessions and engage with parents and guardians through regular communication and formal reporting.
Skills & Experience:
- Current VIT registration
- Unrestricted working rights in Australia
- Demonstrate previous experience in teaching secondary English and Senior Psychology in Australia
- Ability to provide contact details for two education-based references from within the last 5 years (student-teacher mentors are acceptable).
