About the Role:
Are you a passionate IT teacher looking for your next adventure? Tradewind are working alongside F-9 school in vibrant Tarneit, located in Melbourne's thriving Western suburbs! We're on the lookout for a dedicated IT teacher to join our full-time team in 2025. In our welcoming and supportive environment, you'll have the chance to inspire approximately 1000 students from Foundation to Year 9, while becoming an integral part of our dynamic school community. Key duties:

  • Design and deliver lessons aligned with the Victorian Curriculum, ensuring students achieve learning outcomes.
  • Teach subjects related to Information Technology (IT), including but not limited to programming, web development, databases, networking, cybersecurity, and digital technologies.
  • Identify and support students with varying learning needs, including those with learning difficulties or advanced abilities. Provide additional resources or adjust teaching methods as necessary.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends in technology and education by attending professional development sessions, workshops, and conferences.
  • Manage and maintain the IT resources within the classroom, including hardware, software, and online tools. Ensure that these resources are functional and up-to-date.
  • Organize and supervise extracurricular activities such as coding clubs, robotics teams, or participation in IT-related competitions.

Skills & Experience:

  • Possess unrestricted working rights in Australia
  • Hold relevant qualifications in Education
  • Maintain current VIT registration
  • Demonstrate prior experience teaching IT at a secondary school level in Australia
  • Provide contact information for two educational references from the past five years (student-teacher mentors are acceptable)
