About the Role:
Calling all Secondary Digital Technology teachers! Tradewind is partnering with a terrific F-9 International Baccalaureate school in Point Cook, Melbourne's West, to offer an exciting full-time, ongoing teaching position starting in Term 1, 2025. You'll have the opportunity to teach Digital Technology to students in Years 7-9, fostering innovation and creativity while contributing to the school's commitment to delivering high-quality, student-centred education. Key duties:

  • Design, plan, and deliver Digital Technology lessons according to the Victorian Curriculum
  • Provide engaging and effective instruction in various aspects of digital technology, including coding, programming, robotics, digital literacy, cybersecurity, and emerging technologies.
  • Develop and implement assessment strategies to evaluate student learning and progress, including formative and summative assessments, projects, and practical demonstrations.
  • Manage classroom technology resources, including computers, software, peripherals, and digital learning platforms, to support teaching and learning effectively.
  • Promote innovation and creativity by encouraging students to explore and experiment with digital technologies, problem-solving techniques, and design thinking processes.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with advancements in digital technology, educational pedagogy, and curriculum requirements.

Skills & Experience:

  • Must hold unrestricted working rights in Australia
  • Current VIT registration is essential
  • Proven experience teaching secondary Digital Technology in Australia within a Secondary school setting
  • Ability to provide two education-based references from the last 5 years (student-teacher mentors are acceptable)
