About the Role:
An exciting opportunity awaits a passionate Digital Technology/STEAM teacher to join a growing secondary school in Truganina in 2025. With 1,200 students across two campuses (Years 7-10) and plans for VCE expansion, this role offers the chance to inspire students in a dynamic and future-focused learning environment. Whether you're a new graduate or an experienced educator, you'll benefit from strong support, dedicated coaching, and excellent facilities while teaching Years 7-10 Digital Technology and STEAM, with potential VCE opportunities in the future.

Key duties:

  • Design and deliver engaging STEAM and Digital Technology lessons aligned with the Victorian Curriculum, integrating science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics.
  • Incorporate hands-on projects that encourage real-world problem-solving using robotics, coding, 3D printing, and digital media.
  • Teach key digital technology concepts, including programming, cybersecurity, digital literacy, and emerging technologies, fostering creativity and critical thinking.
  • Develop and implement assessments to evaluate student learning, including projects, tests, and practical demonstrations.
  • Manage classroom technology resources such as computers, software, and lab equipment, ensuring safe and effective use.
  • Engage in professional development to stay current with advancements in digital technology, pedagogy, and curriculum trends.

Skills & Experience:

  • Tertiary Qualifications in Education
  • Current VIT registration
  • Have unrestricted working rights in Australia
  • Previous secondary teaching experience in Australia required- graduates welcome to apply!
  • Ability to provide contact details for two education-based references from within the last 5 years (student-teacher mentors are acceptable).
