About the Role:
We are currently seeking Expressions of Interest for an experienced Diploma Qualified Room Leader to work in a Montessori Early Learning Centre in the heart of Caulfield, Melbourne. The centre has been delivering authentic Montessori education in Long Day Care since 2021 in a state of the art, purpose-built centre, catering for children aged 3 months to 6 years old.
Key duties:
· Co-lead a classroom to deliver high-quality early childhood education and care
· Establish and implement age-appropriate programs aligned with the VEYLF and Montessori curriculum
· Create meaningful, inclusive, and culturally sensitive learning experiences.
· Foster positive relationships with children and families
· Observe and record children's progress in collaboration with the co-lead teacher
· Contribute to inclusion support initiatives as needed
· Actively enhance early years' programs
· Collaborate with the Coordinator and Senior Educator for performance discussions and compliance with regulations
· Develop, implement, and evaluate educational programs per the National Quality Framework, with clear objectives and family engagement
· Reflect on practices, maintain inclusive environments, and build partnerships with families and the community
· Keep confidential records, respond to inquiries, and promote the centre professionally
· Participate in the integrated team, ensuring compliance with policies, Child Safe Standards, and the Australian Early Childhood Association Code of Ethics
Skills & Experience:
· Fully completed Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care
· Previous experience as an Early Childhood Room Leader
· Previous experience working within a Montessori setting
· Current level 2 First Aid Certificate and Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management Certificate
· Satisfactory Police and Working with Children checks
· Knowledge of National Regulations, NQF, VEYLD and EYLF, Child Safe Standards
