About the Role:
We are recruiting for a Diploma Educator to work in an inclusive Jewish College (K-12), in the heart of Hawthorn. This is an independent school with a strong community ethos and a curriculum program inspired by Reggio Emilia. Applicants of any (or no) faith are encouraged to apply.
Key duties:
- Identify and cater for individual learner needs, collaborating with other staff in the College
- Provide an environment that promotes the cognitive, physical, emotional, social and intellectual wellbeing of all students
- Work closely with parents regarding the progress and development of their children
- Participate in the creation, development and evaluation of curriculum
- Assist in implementing lesson plans and assessments that reflect a deep understanding of the content and VEYLF
· Keep confidential records, respond to inquiries, and promote the centre professionally
· Actively participate in the integrated team, ensuring compliance with policies, Child Safe Standards, and the Australian Early Childhood Association Code of Ethics
Skills & Experience:
· Diploma in Early Childhood (Or ACEQUA equivalent or higher)
· Previous/current experience as a Room Leader in Australia
· Satisfactory Police and Working with Children checks
· Food Handling, First Aid, CPR, Asthma, Anaphylaxis Cert, Mandatory reporting certifications (or willingness to obtain)
· Current Police Check
