Rockhampton Neighbourhood Centre- Service Lead Coordinator

Lead, Develop, and Drive Community Impact

$51.54 per hour permanent full-time (38 hours per week), plus super and salary packaging

The Rockhampton Neighbourhood Centre (RNC) is seeking a dynamic and experienced Service Lead Coordinator to establish and manage its operations, drive strategic community engagement, and build strong partnerships to ensure long-term success. This is a unique opportunity to take ownership of a critical service, delivering high-quality programs that meet the needs of the local community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Program Management & Service Delivery - Develop, implement, and oversee high-quality community services tailored to the needs of Rockhampton.
  • Operational Leadership - Manage the day-to-day operations of the centre, ensuring efficiency, sustainability, and compliance with organisational and funding requirements.
  • Community Development & Engagement - Increase community awareness, participation, and support through targeted outreach and engagement initiatives.
  • Stakeholder & Funding Relationships - Secure and manage funding sources, liaise with government agencies, and strengthen partnerships with key service providers.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Tertiary qualification in Human Services, Project Management or an equivalent qualification.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and grow services from the ground up, ideally within a neighbourhood house or similar community service environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of delivering impactful services through strategic planning and operational management.
  • Experience in disaster/community recovery and federal government projects.

Role Requirements

  • Location: Preference for candidates based at the Rockhampton Neighbourhood Centre.
  • Hours: 38 hours per week, Permanent Full-Time.
  • Flexibility: Some evening and weekend work required, along with regular local travel.
