Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate registered midwife to provide high-quality care and support to women and their babies throughout pregnancy, labour, and the postnatal period. This role offers the opportunity to work within a supportive and professional environment, delivering person-centred care while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
Key Duties
- Provide holistic, evidence-based midwifery care during pregnancy, labour, and the postnatal period.
- Work in partnership with women and their families to support informed decision-making and individualised care plans.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation to ensure continuity of care.
- Educate and support women and families on antenatal and postnatal health, including breastfeeding and newborn care.
- Collaborate with medical professionals, allied health teams, and community services to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Uphold infection control protocols, workplace health and safety regulations, and emergency procedures.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and quality improvement initiatives.
Skills and Experience
- Current registration with AHPRA as a registered midwife.
- Bachelor of Midwifery (or equivalent qualification).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to person-centred care.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to professional development and adherence to best practice standards.
- COVID-19 vaccination in line with current health requirements (unless exempt).
Desirable:
- Demonstrated clinical expertise in midwifery practice.
- Additional qualifications or experience in specialised maternity care.
