Key duties:
- Develop and implement lesson plans and instructional materials that align with the Victorian curriculum
- Establish and maintain a positive and orderly classroom environment conducive to learning, including managing student behaviour, fostering positive relationships, and promoting mutual respect among students.
- Design and administer assessments, to evaluate students' understanding and provide timely feedback to students and parents on their progress and areas for improvement.
- Provide additional support and assistance to students who require differentiation to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with learning disabilities or English language learners.
- Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and support staff to share ideas, resources, and strategies for improving student learning outcomes.
- Participate in team meetings, grade-level planning, and school-wide initiatives to support the school community.
Skills & Experience:
- Must have unrestricted working rights in Australia
- Hold relevant qualifications in Education (4 year bachelor Degree containing minimum 1 year teaching qualifications)
- Current VIT registration required
- Willingness to support the school's ethos and Islamic faith values
- Proven experience teaching Primary in an Australian school setting
- Ability to provide two education-based references from the last 5 years, including at least one from upper management
