About the Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Primary teacher to join a supportive P-9 school community in Truganina. This position, starting immediately, offers a chance to work closely with a dedicated Senior Primary teaching team focused on both academic excellence and student well-being. The school's leadership team is approachable and committed to fostering a nurturing environment that prepares students for real-world challenges. With a strong emphasis on Indigenous Cultural Inclusion, the school integrates these elements meaningfully throughout its curriculum. Graduates and those with permission-to-teach are encouraged to apply, with comprehensive support provided to all new staff.
Key duties:
- Develop and implement lesson plans and instructional materials that align with the Victorian curriculum
- Establish and maintain a positive and orderly classroom environment conducive to learning, including managing student behaviour, fostering positive relationships, and promoting mutual respect among students.
- Design and administer assessments, to evaluate students' understanding and provide timely feedback to students and parents on their progress and areas for improvement.
- Provide additional support and assistance to students who require differentiation to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with learning disabilities or English language learners.
- Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and support staff to share ideas, resources, and strategies for improving student learning outcomes.
- Participate in team meetings, grade-level planning, and school-wide initiatives to support the school community.
Skills & Experience:
- Full Australian Working right
- Minimum 4 year Bachelors Degree with at least 1 year teaching qualification
- Current VIT registration
- Able to begin January 2025
- Have unrestricted working rights in Australia
- Ability to provide contact details for at least two education-based references from within the last 5 years (student-teacher mentors are acceptable).

- Salary aligned with demonstrated expertise, ranging from $75,000 to $115,000
