About the Role:
A wonderful opportunity awaits a caring and dedicated middle years Primary teacher to join a small, caring and well-resourced Catholic Primary School near Derrimut, starting in 2025. Offering a full-time position, working within a small teaching team, the school is dedicated to collegial planning and offering support to all new teachers joining the school. Modern classrooms and excellent school grounds, boasting of multiple sensory playgrounds and supportive staff dedicated to improving student outcomes and wellbeing. Key Duties

  • Develop and implement lesson plans and instructional materials that align with the Victorian curriculum
  • Establish and maintain a positive and orderly classroom environment conducive to learning, including managing student behaviour, fostering positive relationships, and promoting mutual respect among students.
  • Design and administer assessments, to evaluate students' understanding and provide timely feedback to students and parents on their progress and areas for improvement.
  • Provide additional support and assistance to students who require differentiation to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with learning disabilities or English language learners.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and support staff to share ideas, resources, and strategies for improving student learning outcomes.
  • Participate in team meetings, grade-level planning, and school-wide initiatives to support the school community.

Skills & Experience:

  • Unrestricted working rights in Australia
  • Current VIT registration or just applied
  • Completed relevant Qualifications in Education
  • Demonstrate previous experience in teaching Primary in Australia
  • Ability to provide contact details for two education-based references from within the last 5 years (student-teacher mentors are acceptable).
  • An understanding and support of Catholic values
