About the Role:
Attention to all passionate Primary teachers! Tradewind is thrilled to collaborate with an F-9 school located in Point Cook, Melbourne's West, to fill a teaching position for lower Primary beginning in Term 1, 2025 in a full-time ongoing position. As an integral part of the school community, you'll be joining a school dedicated to fostering academic excellence through their International Baccalaureate Program, providing a globally recognised education system showing dedication to creativity and a lifelong love of learning. The school boasts excellent facilities, with the role beginning immediately within the middle primary classroom.
Key duties:
- Develop and implement lesson plans and instructional materials that align with the Victorian curriculum
- Establish and maintain a positive and orderly classroom environment conducive to learning, including managing student behaviour, fostering positive relationships, and promoting mutual respect among students.
- Design and administer assessments, to evaluate students' understanding and provide timely feedback to students and parents on their progress and areas for improvement.
- Provide additional support and assistance to students who require differentiation to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with learning disabilities or English language learners.
- Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and support staff to share ideas, resources, and strategies for improving student learning outcomes.
- Participate in team meetings, grade-level planning, and school-wide initiatives to support the school community.
Skills & Experience:
- Must have unrestricted working rights in Australia
- Must have VIT registration or are in the process of obtaining this
- Demonstrate previous experience in teaching Primary in Australia/Placement experience essential
- Ability to provide contact details for two education-based references from within the last 5 years (student-teacher mentors are acceptable).
