Job Description

About the Role:
An excellent Primary opportunity is available for a compassionate and dedicated primary teacher to join a close-knit Catholic school community near Werribee. Starting in term 4 and continuing into 2025, this role involves working within a small teaching team of three. The school offers modern classrooms, expansive grounds and a large focus on student/staff well-being. This position is perfect for a teacher passionate about making a positive impact on student outcomes within a nurturing and well-resourced setting.

Key Duties

  • Develop and implement lesson plans and instructional materials that align with the Victorian curriculum
  • Establish and maintain a positive and orderly classroom environment conducive to learning, including managing student behaviour, fostering positive relationships, and promoting mutual respect among students.
  • Design and administer assessments, to evaluate students' understanding and provide timely feedback to students and parents on their progress and areas for improvement.
  • Provide additional support and assistance to students who require differentiation to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with learning disabilities or English language learners.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and support staff to share ideas, resources, and strategies for improving student learning outcomes.
  • Participate in team meetings, grade-level planning, and school-wide initiatives to support the school community.

Skills & Experience:

  • Unrestricted working rights in Australia
  • Current VIT registration
  • At least 4 year Bachelor with Education qualifications of at least 1 year
  • Demonstrate previous experience in teaching Primary in Australia
  • Ability to provide contact details for two education-based references from within the last 5 years (student-teacher mentors are acceptable).
  • An understanding and support of Catholic values
