About the Role:
Are you a dedicated primary teacher seeking a fresh opportunity? A reputable F-9 school in Tarneit, nestled in Melbourne's Western suburbs, is seeking a passionate middle/upper years teacher to join in a full-time capacity, focusing on grade 4 students. With approximately 1000 students spanning from years F-9, this role offers integration into a dynamic school community.
Key duties:
- Develop and implement lesson plans and instructional materials that align with the Victorian curriculum
- Establish and maintain a positive and orderly classroom environment conducive to learning, including managing student behaviour, fostering positive relationships, and promoting mutual respect among students.
- Design and administer assessments, to evaluate students' understanding and provide timely feedback to students and parents on their progress and areas for improvement.
- Provide additional support and assistance to students who require differentiation to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with learning disabilities or English language learners.
- Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and support staff to share ideas, resources, and strategies for improving student learning outcomes.
- Participate in team meetings, grade-level planning, and school-wide initiatives to support the school community.
Skills & Experience:
- Have unrestricted working rights in Australia
- Completed relevant Qualifications in Education
- Maintain a valid and up-to-date VIT registration
- Demonstrate previous experience in teaching Primary in Australia advantageous
- Ability to provide contact details for two education-based references from within the last 5 years (student-teacher mentors are acceptable).
