About the Role:
Are you a passionate STEM educator ready to make a difference in a Primary School setting? Tradewind is thrilled to partner with a vibrant Catholic Primary School in Wyndham Vale to offer an exciting part-time STEM teaching opportunity.
This role involves teaching students from Foundation to Year 6 as part of a dedicated specialist team. Enjoy 2.5 days of teaching per week, with the flexibility to collaborate and plan alongside other specialist teachers. Starting in Term 1, 2025 and continuing until the end of the year, this is your chance to foster curiosity, creativity, and a love for STEM in young learners.

Key duties:
- Design and develop engaging STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) lesson plans and teaching materials aligned with the Victorian curriculum standards and objectives.
- Deliver high-quality instruction in STEM subjects to primary students, utilizing innovative teaching methods and hands-on activities to foster student engagement and understanding.
- Incorporate technology tools and resources into STEM lessons to enhance learning experiences and develop students' digital literacy skills.
- Implement project-based learning activities that encourage students to explore real-world STEM concepts, solve problems, and collaborate with their peers.
- Organize and supervise hands-on experiments, demonstrations, and STEM-related activities to promote inquiry-based learning and critical thinking skills.
- Collaborate with other teachers, STEM coordinators, and school administrators to integrate STEM concepts across the curriculum and promote interdisciplinary learning experiences.
Skills & Experience:
- Must have unrestricted working rights in Australia
- Must have a valid and up-to-date VIT registration
- Demonstrate previous experience in teaching Primary in Australia
- Experience working with a Catholic school advantageous
- Ability to provide contact details for two education-based references from within the last 5 years (student-teacher mentors are acceptable).

- Part time- 2.5 days per week (Mon half day planning, Tue and Wed)

- Salary reflecting demonstrated expertise and dedication ($78k-$116k)
