Job Description
Tradewind are seeking a passionate and dedicated Primary Music teacher to join an Independent co-educational Christian school in Riverstone, NSW. This position commences in term 3 2024 and is part-time (0.8 FTE), however full-time applicants will be considered.
Job Details:
- Maternity Leave Position
- Part-time (0.8 FTE), full-time negotiable
- Start date Term 3, 2024
Demonstrated Experience and Skills
- Relevant education and music qualifications
- Relevant instrumental and vocal experience; particularly the ability to teach beginner violin to stage 2
- Experience in working with and leading musical ensembles, including primary and secondary string ensembles
- Experience in conducting
- Demonstrated strategies to cater for a variety of learners
- Desire to work as part of the faculty and wider school team
- Flexibility to respond to a dynamic learning environment
- Effective organisation and ability to fulfil administrative and assessment requirements of a teaching role
- A strong understanding of and commitment to Christian education and the Christian development of students
Prerequisites:
- Eligibility according to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA)
- Tertiary Qualification (minimum 4-year degree, or 75% complete)
- Valid Working with Children Check (for employment purposes)
- Have unrestricted working rights in Australia
- Ability to provide contact details for two education-based references and a Church-based reference
