About the Role:
An outstanding opportunity awaits a passionate part-time Primary Art teacher to join a Christian-focused school in Taylors Hill, in Melbourne's West, beginning now. Work with students in years 1-6 within a supportive Art teaching team on Mondays and Wednesdays in a contract until the years end. This wonderful Christian school, serving around 1300 students from years 7-12 across two campuses, maintains excellent student behaviour, offers learning coaching, and boasts ample resources.
Key duties:
- Design and deliver art lessons that align with curriculum standards and cater to the diverse needs of primary students.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages self-expression and artistic exploration.
- Develop and implement age-appropriate projects and activities to enhance students' understanding and appreciation of art.
- Assess and provide constructive feedback on students' artistic endeavours to facilitate their growth and development.
- Stay abreast of current trends and best practices in art education, continuously seeking opportunities for professional development.
- Exhibit unwavering dedication to ongoing professional growth and development, staying abreast of the evolving educational landscape.
- Embrace and uphold the school's educational
Skills & Experience:
- Completed relevant Qualifications in Education
- Maintain a valid and up-to-date VIT registration
- Have unrestricted working rights in Australia
- Demonstrate previous experience in teaching Primary Art
- Christian/Catholic School experience highly regarded
- Ability to provide contact details for two education-based references from within the last 5 years (student-teacher mentors are acceptable).
