About the Role:

Key duties:
- Design and implement lesson plans that align with the Victorian Curriculum, focusing on various aspects of performing arts such as music, drama, dance, and media arts.
- Assess students' performance through formative and summative assessments, providing constructive feedback, and preparing reports to communicate student progress to parents and guardians.
- Foster a creative and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and expression.
- Organise and direct school plays, musicals, concerts, and other performances, often working outside regular school hours.
- Lead or support extracurricular groups such as drama clubs, choirs, or dance teams, helping students to develop their skills further and gain performance experience.
- Work closely with other teachers in the performing arts department and across different departments to create interdisciplinary projects and performances.
- Coordinate logistics for performances, including booking venues, managing ticket sales, and liaising with technical staff.
Skills & Experience:
- Must possess unrestricted working rights in Australia.
- Hold a current VIT registration or be eligible to apply.
- Strong understanding of the Victorian Curriculum with experience teaching in Victoria/Australia.
- Minimum of a 4-year bachelor's degree that includes a teaching qualification, with additional qualifications being advantageous.
- Ability to provide contact details for two education-based references from senior management within the last 5 years.
