Job Description

Tradewind are working closely with a co-educational Catholic School near Marsden Park who are looking for a pedagogy coach with a focus on practical subjects such as TAS, Science, PDHPE and Creative and Performing Arts. This position attracts a 3-point paid allowance with a mix of coaching, teaching and release.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership and Mentorship:

  • Collaborate with teachers to design flexible curriculums and contemporary pedagogies.
  • Build teacher capacity through co-planning, co-teaching, and reflective practices.

Enhancing Learning Outcomes:

  • Promote student-centered, authentic learning experiences.
  • Use data to support differentiated teaching and improve outcomes.
  • Align teaching strategies with the School Vision.

Professional Expertise:

  • Model innovative, evidence-based teaching practices.
  • Foster creativity, collaboration, and innovation in teaching teams.
  • Support the integration of digital tools to enhance learning.

Compliance and Culture:

  • Ensure NESA compliance.
  • Build respectful, mission-aligned relationships with colleagues, students, and families.

Requirements:

  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and mentoring skills.
  • Ability to use research and data for strategic planning.
  • Expertise in contemporary pedagogy, flexible curriculum design, and digital integration.
  • Commitment to professional learning and contributing to a culture of innovation.

Prerequisites:

  • Eligibility according to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA)
  • Tertiary Qualification (minimum 4-year degree, or 75% complete)
  • Valid Working with Children Check (for employment purposes)
  • Have unrestricted working rights in Australia
  • Ability to provide contact details for two education-based references
  • Statements of service
