Job Description
Tradewind are working closely with a co-educational Catholic School near Marsden Park who are looking for a pedagogy coach with a focus on practical subjects such as TAS, Science, PDHPE and Creative and Performing Arts. This position attracts a 3-point paid allowance with a mix of coaching, teaching and release.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership and Mentorship:
- Collaborate with teachers to design flexible curriculums and contemporary pedagogies.
- Build teacher capacity through co-planning, co-teaching, and reflective practices.
Enhancing Learning Outcomes:
- Promote student-centered, authentic learning experiences.
- Use data to support differentiated teaching and improve outcomes.
- Align teaching strategies with the School Vision.
Professional Expertise:
- Model innovative, evidence-based teaching practices.
- Foster creativity, collaboration, and innovation in teaching teams.
- Support the integration of digital tools to enhance learning.
Compliance and Culture:
- Ensure NESA compliance.
- Build respectful, mission-aligned relationships with colleagues, students, and families.
Requirements:
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and mentoring skills.
- Ability to use research and data for strategic planning.
- Expertise in contemporary pedagogy, flexible curriculum design, and digital integration.
- Commitment to professional learning and contributing to a culture of innovation.
Prerequisites:
- Eligibility according to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA)
- Tertiary Qualification (minimum 4-year degree, or 75% complete)
- Valid Working with Children Check (for employment purposes)
- Have unrestricted working rights in Australia
- Ability to provide contact details for two education-based references
- Statements of service
