About the Role:
Calling all Junior Mathematics educators! Tradewind has partnered with a fantastic independent girls' secondary college in St Kilda, to teach Mathematics to students in years 7-10. This part-time ongoing position of two and a half days starts asap, with the opportunity for school tours. - Develop and implement a comprehensive math curriculum that aligns with The Victorian Curriculum
- Create engaging and interactive lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
- Use a variety of teaching methods and resources to effectively convey mathematical concepts and problem-solving strategies.
- Provide timely feedback to students on their performance and progress in math.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the individual needs of students, including providing additional support or challenges as needed.
- Engage in continuous professional development to stay updated on best practices in math education, teaching methodologies, and curriculum development.
- Collaborate with other math teachers and school staff to share resources, ideas, and best practices.
Skills & Experience:
- Must have unrestricted working rights in Australia
- Must have a valid and up-to-date VIT registration
- Demonstrate previous experience in teaching secondary Mathematics
- Ability to provide contact details for two education-based references from within the last 5 years (student-teacher mentors are acceptable).
