Maths/ Science Teacher

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Math/Science Teacher to join a great school based near Monbulk, starting in January (Term 1) for an ongoing role. In this position, you will deliver engaging and challenging lessons in Mathematics and Science, ensuring a supportive and dynamic learning environment for students. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of curriculum content, a commitment to fostering critical thinking, and the ability to inspire students to excel in both subjects.
Key duties
Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging learning programs aligned with curriculum guidelines.
Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet diverse student needs and interests.
Prepare, administer, and grade tests and assignments to assess student progress.
Oversee the care, welfare, and academic guidance of students in your class.
Observe and evaluate students' performance, behaviour, and well-being, reporting concerns as necessary.
Collaborate with other teachers to ensure consistent expectations and support.
Develop knowledge of each student and meet with parents or carers to discuss progress.
Instruct and monitor students in the proper use and care of equipment and materials.
Skills & Experience:
Completed relevant Qualifications in Education
Maintain a valid and up-to-date VIT registration
Have unrestricted working rights in Australia
Demonstrate previous experience in teaching Maths and Science - Graduates are welcome to apply too
Ability to provide contact details for two education-based references from within the last 5 years (student-teacher mentors are acceptable).
