About the Role:
A fantastic opportunity has emerged for a passionate Secondary teacher to join an esteemed global school in regional Victoria. Starting in Term 4 and continuing into 2025, this role involves teaching a variety of subjects, including English, Humanities, and Maths, with flexibility for those skilled in Science, Business, or other disciplines. The school boasts modern, state-of-the-art facilities, and offers a unique blend of in-person and online classes, with small class sizes to enhance the learning experience. You'll be part of a highly supportive and professional community, with a focus on teaching excellence and exemplary student behaviour.
Key duties:
- Strong understanding of the Victorian/Australian Curriculum and the ability to design and deliver lessons aligned with educational standards.
- Ability to manage classroom dynamics and create a conducive learning environment.
- Deep knowledge of the subject(s) being taught, whether it's English, humanities, Mathematics etc within the 7-12 Curriculum.
- Expertise in planning, preparing, and delivering lessons that cater to a range of learning styles and abilities, including preparing students for VCE examinations, including the end-of-year exam (Units 1-4).
- Ability to assess student progress through tests, assignments, and formative assessments, providing constructive feedback to guide learning.
- Proficiency in integrating technology into lessons, including using digital resources and online learning platforms.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students, handle conflicts, and provide pastoral care.
- Working collaboratively with other teachers and staff in planning, resource sharing, and professional development.
Skills & Experience:
- Must be prepared to relocate to Regional Victoria this year
- Unrestricted working rights in Australia
- Minimum 4-year Bachelor degree with at least 1 year teaching qualification
- Hold valid and up-to-date VIT registration
- Demonstrate previous experience in teaching Secondary in Australia- (up to VCE advantageous)
- Ability to provide contact details for three education-based references from within the last 5 years
