The Client
This co-educational independent school is located in Melbourne's Western suburbs and serves students from Foundation to Year 12. With an enrolment exceeding 2,000 students and a staff of over 300, the school offers a comprehensive curriculum, and is committed to fostering reflective, self-directed learners equipped with problem-solving skills and critical thinking abilities. In addition to its main campus, the college operates two other campuses and a camp facility, providing diverse educational experiences for its students.
- Oversee daily maintenance operations, ensuring efficiency and safety.
- Lead and supervise the maintenance team to deliver high-quality work.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for all facilities.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and school policies in all maintenance tasks.
- Manage building projects, renovations, and classroom setups in collaboration with external contractors.
- Maintain detailed records of tools, equipment, and maintenance activities.
Skills and Experience:
- Proven leadership and team management abilities - Min 5 years in Property/Facilties Management or Construction
- Diploma, Trade or degree in Property Management, Facilities Management, Construction, or a related field
- Strong communication skills, capable of interacting with staff, students, and external partners.
- In-depth knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) practices and regulations.
- Extensive experience in property maintenance, facilities management, or construction.
- Proficiency in financial management, including budgeting and forecasting.
- Familiarity with maintenance management software and reporting tools.
