Family Support Practitioner
Make a Meaningful Impact in the Lives of Families
We are seeking a Family Support Practitioner to provide compassionate and strengths-based support to families facing challenges. This role focuses on case management, family capacity building, and early intervention, ensuring the safety, wellbeing, and stability of children and their caregivers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver intensive family support services, including case planning, risk assessment, and crisis intervention.
- Develop family-focused interventions that enhance parenting skills and family dynamics.
- Work in collaboration with community organisations, child protection services, and support networks.
- Provide advocacy and tailored referrals, connecting families with essential services and resources.
- Maintain accurate case documentation and reporting to ensure service quality and compliance.
About You:
- Relevant qualifications in Social Work, Human Services, Psychology, or a related field.
- Experience in family support, case management, or child protection.
- Understanding of trauma-informed practice, child development, and risk management.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with families and stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Knowledge of legislation, policies, and best practice frameworks in child and family services.
- Hold a current Australian drivers licence, blue card and police check
