About the Role
Tradewind are seeking a dedicated Lead Instructional Coach to join a co-educational Catholic School near Marsden Park commencing in term 1, 2025. This role involves guiding a team of instructional leaders and ensuring seamless learning across K-6, with a real focus on easing transitions into secondary school. In this role, you'll work closely with pedagogy coaches to align literacy, numeracy, EALD, inquiry learning, and wellbeing strategies, creating a consistent, enriching experience for all students. This role attracts a 3 point paid allowance with a balance of teaching, coaching and release.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of instructional leaders, ensuring alignment in teaching practices, inquiry learning, and student wellbeing from K-6.
  • Oversee the transition from primary to secondary school, ensuring cohesive pedagogy, inquiry-based learning, and assessment practices.
  • Collaborate with instructional coaches to enhance team teaching and professional development initiatives.
  • Implement inquiry learning methodologies that promote curiosity, problem-solving, and independent thinking.
  • Utilize data-driven insights to evaluate teaching strategies, track student progress, and refine instructional models.
  • Facilitate workshops and develop resources for staff, parents, and students.
  • Provide mentorship to educators, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and evidence-based practice.

About You:
The ideal candidate will:

  • Demonstrate expertise in instructional strategies, literacy and numeracy development, inquiry learning, and student wellbeing.
  • Have strong experience in team teaching, coaching, and managing educational transitions.
  • Be a collaborative leader, skilled in building partnerships with educators, parents, and stakeholders.
  • Uphold the Catholic education mission and the ethos of the school.

Reporting Structure
This role reports to the Heads of School (K-4 and 5-8), under the ultimate guidance of the Principal Leader.

Prerequisites:

  • Eligibility according to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA)
  • Tertiary Qualification (minimum 4-year degree, or 75% complete)
  • Valid Working with Children Check (for employment purposes)
  • Have unrestricted working rights in Australia
  • Ability to provide contact details for two education-based references
