About the Role:
An exciting opportunity awaits a committed French LOTE teacher to join a welcoming school in Caroline Springs, Melbourne's West, starting in Term 3. This full-time, permanent role is perfect for educators at any stage of their career, from eager new graduates to experienced teaching professionals. The position involves teaching French LOTE to students in year 6 to 8 and become part of a welcoming LOTE faculty. Key duties:
- Develop age-appropriate and engaging curriculum plans that align the Victorian Curriculum for French LOTE Primary/Secondary levels.
- Deliver effective and interactive French language instruction, focusing on vocabulary, pronunciation, and language structures.
- Introduce aspects of French culture into lessons through age-appropriate activities, stories, and projects to foster cultural awareness.
- Design assessments to evaluate their language acquisition and provide constructive feedback to students
- Collaborate with other teachers and departments to integrate French language and culture into broader educational themes and projects.
- Stay informed about developments in language education, attend workshops, and engage in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching skills and methodologies.
Skills & Experience:
- Must hold unrestricted working rights in Australia
- Current VIT registration is essential
- Proven experience teaching Frech LOTE at a Primary/Secondary school in Australia
- Graduates are welcome to apply and will be supported
- Ability to provide two education-based references from the last 5 years (student-teacher mentors are acceptable)
