Job Description

Manager, Homelessness and Housing Services

$111,229+ per annum with not for profit salary packaging


This leadership role is responsible for the delivery and continuous improvement of homelessness and housing services aligned with strategic goals, funding requirements, and regulatory standards. The manager oversees case management and outreach services, drives outcomes-focused service delivery, supports local teams and partnerships, and ensures compliance with WHS and risk management frameworks. Collaboration across internal departments and with external stakeholders is critical, as is measuring service impact and engaging members to enhance support for individuals and families experiencing or at risk of homelessness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day operations and deliver program outcomes across client services, staff performance, budgets, and compliance.
  • Build a culture of quality and accountability, focusing on continuous improvement and holistic client care.
  • Oversee all aspects of program compliance, service agreements, and financial management.
  • Mentor and support staff through coaching, supervision, and performance planning.
  • Represent the program in internal and external forums, building strong relationships across the sector.
  • Promote safe, ethical, and evidence-informed practices that align with our mission and strategic direction.

What We're Looking For

  • Tertiary qualifications in Community Services or a related field.
  • Proven experience leading programs or services in the community sector.
  • Strong leadership and operational management skills, including budget oversight and human resources.
  • Deep understanding of sector standards, funding guidelines, and legislation.
  • A commitment to social justice and the values-driven work of the community services sector.
