About the Role:
We are recruiting for a Cert III or Diploma qualified Early Childhood Educator to work in an excellent Early learning Centre, attached to a Grammar school in Armadale.
The centre also offers a monthly RDO, five weeks annual leave (pro rata for part time staff), quality resources, professional development and an excellent staff/child ratio.
Key duties:
- Support Team Leaders and other Educators to implement and evaluate play-based learning experiences in partnership with families; in accordance with the ELYF and NQF
- Work collaboratively with a team of educators to implement a program that places importance on care and education
- Contribute to the overall effective operation of the Child Care Service
- Successfully liaise with all stakeholders; children, families, staff and external agencies
- Demonstrate a professional level of written and verbal communication skills
Skills & Experience:
- Completed a relevant Qualification in Early Childhood Education (Cert IIII/Diploma in ECE)
- Current Working With Children Check (Employee)
- Have experience working in Long Day Care with a sound knowledge of EYLF and NQF
- Have an understanding of the Reggio Emilia Philosophy
- Current Food Handling, First Aid, CPR, Asthma, Anaphylaxis and Mandatory Reporting (or willingness to obtain)
- Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to provide contact details for two education-based references from within the last 5 years (student teacher mentors are acceptable).
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience working in Long Day Care with a range of ages 0-5.
