Job Description

Mob for Mob and First Nations run initiatives, this fast growing organisation is looking for a community focussed Social Worker to work across Perth/South Perth, Western Australia who are planted in their first nations culture, keen to provide evidence-based evaluation and intervention for a wide range of systemic barriers preventing participants from leading their best life.

About the role

Provide advanced social work services, including complex case management, counselling, advocacy, and program development. This role requires a high level of expertise in assessing client needs, developing comprehensive case plans, and delivering tailored interventions to support individuals, families, and communities. The Social Worker at this level also provides leadership in service delivery, contributes to policy development, and engages in professional supervision and mentoring of junior staff.

About You

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Degree level qualifications in a relevant Allied Health Professional field, i.e. Psychology, Counselling or Social Work, and eligibility for AASW membership
  • Advanced skills in case management, counselling, and client advocacy.
  • Strong leadership and supervisory abilities, with experience in mentoring and developing staff.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to engage effectively with diverse client groups and stakeholders.
  • Analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to develop innovative solutions to complex problems.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to plan, implement, and evaluate programs and initiatives.
  • Commitment to social justice, ethical practice, and continuous professional development.
  • Experience in program development, policy review, and community engagement.
