Job Description

Looking for an all-rounder with experience in accounts (receivable AND payable) and payroll functions.

Whilst every day will look a little different in this challenging but rewarding role, you can expect to have responsibility in the following key areas:

  • Service Delivery - Provide exceptional customer service by promptly responding to queries about financial matters and payroll within a timely manner. Work in accordance with NDIS and MAC requirements and ensure that we are audit ready- always.
  • Community and Stakeholder Engagement - Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders and work collaboratively to meet business needs.
  • Finance and Reporting - Complete all accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll tasks, prepare daily, monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports and work collaboratively with the leadership team to identify concerns and proactively manage financial issues.
  • Compliance and Risk Management - Contribute to continual improvement of financial processes and procedures and ensure all records and documentation is accurate.
  • Strategic Projects - We have just launched our new 3-year plan and all of our team members will have the opportunity to contribute to projects and other initiatives that support this plan.

Essential Requirements include:

  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Considerable knowledge and experience using financial software packages (MYOB Advanced)
  • Good understanding of accounting principles and commercial acumen
  • Working knowledge of NDIS and MAC reporting requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications and experience in the community services sector will be highly regarded
  • IT skills, with a focus on Excel and the ability to quickly learn how to use our client management system
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check (Yellow Card)
  • Working with Children's Check (Blue Card)
  • National Police Check (issued within the last 12 months)
  • Current Australian Driver's License, own vehicle with comprehensive car insurance
  • COVID-19 Vaccine as per QLD Health directive
