Job Description
Tradewind are currently working with an Islamic College in Truganina, looking for a Female PE teacher to teach female secondary students, for an immediate T3 start until the end of the year with possible ongoing opportunities.
Applicants must be enthusiastic and passionate about teaching and demonstrate a genuine care for students. The successful applicants will possess the relevant qualifications for the position and be currently registered or in the process of obtaining registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching. Sports Facilities:
The College has an indoor Sports Venue with 5 basketball courts, offices, change rooms, a gym, and a food court and also boasts an outdoor Multi-Sporting Complex at the rear of the compound, spanning 100m by 40m. This complex comprises 10 running tracks, 5 tennis/netball courts, and a soccer field, hosting various sports events and competitions. A full-time PE and Sports coordinator, along with part-time sports coaches, ensure comprehensive physical education and training for students.
- Collaboratively plan and evaluate the curriculum to achieve specific outcomes
- Provide consistent and coherent learning programs that will foster independence, challenge, and learning progression.
- Apply evidence-based, contemporary practice when designing learning opportunities and experiences.
- Maintain positive, professional, and supportive interactions with parents, staff, and the wider College community.
- Work as a cooperative member of the collaborative year-level team, ensuring harmonious relationships
- Experience in Secondary teaching advantageous
- Plan, prepare, and teach programs to achieve specific student outcomes.
- Collaborate with colleagues to engage in critical reflection and inquiry in order to improve knowledge and skills to effectively engage students and improve their learning.
- Provide effective pastoral care to students as a subject teacher and/or Mentor.
- Detailed knowledge of the Australian Curriculum as relevant to the position.
- A passion for engaging every student and demonstrated ability to bring out the best in them.
- Demonstrated expertise in teaching at relevant levels.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Education or equivalent
- Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration
- Full Australian working rights
