Job Description

  • Part-time 0.6-0.8EFT
  • 2-year contract with possibility of extension
  • SCHADS 8 remuneration package

  • Located in the Northern suburbs of Melbourne (secure location)

About the Role:

An intersectional, feminist organisation committed to addressing and challenging the inequities arising from gender oppression, providing short-term intensive support, crisis accommodation. and outreach services to family violence victim survivors.

The Program Manager will be responsible for overseeing program operations including planning and delivery of high-quality crisis accommodation and supports to victim-survivors and their children escaping family violence.


Key duties:

  • Provide exceptional team leadership, promoting an environment that empowers and motivates staff to achieve service goals.
  • Deliver operational leadership including oversight of team performance, service and budget deliverables, and refuge site management.
  • Ensure compliance, reporting, and regulatory requirements are met.
  • Provide strategic input to system and organisational improvements.
  • Participate in the development and maintenance of quality partnerships with key organisations.

Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor's and/or Master's qualification in Social Work.
  • Considerable previous experience in leadership and management roles.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading continuous quality improvement, accreditation, and compliance.
  • Knowledge of key legislative, policy, and practice frameworks relevant to family violence including MARAM Framework, Information Sharing, and Child Safe Standards.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of trauma informed, client centred and strengths-based models when working with women and children.

You will also have or be willing to obtain a Victorian Drivers Licence, Working with Children Check and Police Check.
