About the Role:
- Classroom Teacher - English
- Year 7-9
- Commence in Term 3, 2024 - start date flexible
- Work in a growing government school
Key duties:
- Strong understanding of English and/or Humanities curriculum
- Direct teaching of groups of students and individual students
- Contributing to the development, implementation and evaluation of a curriculum area or other curriculum program within the school
- Commitment to ongoing continued professional development
- Communicate effectively with students, parents and staff
- Participating in activities such as parent/teacher meetings and staff meetings
Required Skills & Experience:
- Bachelors of Education/Masters of Teaching or equivalent
- VIT Registration
- Right to work in Australia
- Graduate and experienced teachers welcome to apply
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Experience with International Baccalaureate/Middle Years Program
- Experience working in a high performing environment
- Work collaboratively with others in department
- Ability to extend lesson plans for high-ability students
- Experience working with a range of diverse learning needs and additional needs
