English and Humanities Teacher

Term 1 Start - Full time - Ongoing
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated English and Humanities Teacher to join a great team starting in Term 1 for an ongoing role. This is an exciting opportunity for an educator who is committed to fostering a love of learning while helping students develop key skills in English and the humanities.
Key Duties:
Lesson Planning and Delivery: Create and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons in English and Humanities, tailored to diverse learning styles and designed to challenge and support each student.
Student Engagement and Growth: Foster a classroom culture where students are encouraged to think critically, explore creatively, and deepen their understanding of English and Humanities topics.
Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with colleagues, support staff, and parents to ensure a well-rounded approach to student development. Provide regular updates on student progress and address any concerns.
Assessment and Feedback: Continuously assess student progress, providing constructive feedback that helps guide their academic and personal growth. Modify teaching approaches based on assessment outcomes.
Classroom Management: Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment, utilizing effective management strategies that promote respect, cooperation, and a love for learning.
Professional Development: Participate in ongoing professional learning to refine teaching practices, stay informed about current educational trends, and ensure the highest quality of teaching.
Skills & Experience:
- Completed relevant Qualifications in Education
- Maintain a valid and up-to-date VIT registration
- Have unrestricted working rights in Australia
- Demonstrate previous experience as a Teacher - Graduates are welcome to apply too!
- Ability to provide contact details for two education-based references from within the last 5 years (student-teacher mentors are acceptable).
