About the Role:
Tradewind is looking for a talented and driven Early Childhood Educational Leader/Nominated Supervisor/4-Year-Old Kindergarten Teacher to join a dynamic team at an "Exceeding" Kindergarten in Sunshine West, Melbourne. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified Early Childhood Teacher (holding a Bachelor's degree, Master's degree, or Graduate Diploma in Early Childhood) who is passionate about shaping the future of young learners and fostering strong, collaborative teams. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience as an Educational Leader/Nominated Supervisor, exceptional interpersonal skills, and the ability to lead a dedicated team in delivering outstanding care and education within a nurturing and thriving environment.
This role is permanent ongoing (to include 12 week probationary period); 33.5 hours per week.
Key duties:
- As an Early Childhood Teacher you will teach the 4 year old Kinder Program
- Inspire, mentor, and lead a team of educators, ensuring the provision of high-quality care and educational experiences for all children.
- Foster a collaborative approach to continuously enhance and embed best practices across the service.
- Cultivate strong, inclusive relationships with children to support their growth and achievement of key learning and development outcomes.
- Build supportive and open partnerships with families to ensure clear communication and mutual understanding of expectations and needs.
- Contribute to the implementation and ongoing improvement of quality practices in alignment with the National Quality Standards (NQS).
- Promote and ensure inclusivity, providing tailored support for children with diverse learning needs.
Skills & Experience:
- A deep understanding of contemporary early childhood development theories and diverse learning styles.
- A commitment to maintaining a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment for all children and families.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or similar Early Childhood Teaching qualification with VIT Registration
- A minimum of two years experience in a similar Educational Leader or Nominated Supervisor position in Early Years
- Proven ability to model positive and appropriate behaviours when engaging with children
