About the Role:
Tradewind is seeking an experienced and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join a dynamic team at a highly regarded Early Learning Centre based in Ultimo, NSW. This is an exciting opportunity for an educator who is not only committed to providing high-quality education and care but also has the skills and enthusiasm to teach Italian Language and culture in an engaging and developmentally appropriate manner.
As an Early Childhood Educator in this school-based centre, you will be responsible for planning, implementing and evaluating programs that integrate the Italian language and Cultural practices, all while fostering an inclusive and nurturing environment for children.
Key Responsibilities
· Culturally Inclusive Practices: Deliver teaching practices that reflect and respect the diverse cultural backgrounds of all children, ensuring an inclusive and supportive environment.
· Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong, positive relationships with each child, ensuring that their individual needs, strengths, and developmental milestones are understood and supported.
· Program Creation & Implementation: Design and implement innovative, engaging, and developmentally appropriate programs that focus on the Italian language, cultural awareness, and early childhood development.
· Record Keeping & Documentation: Maintain accurate, confidential, and up-to-date records for each child and family, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and centre-specific requirements.
· Child Protection Responsibilities: Adhere to mandatory reporting guidelines and child protection policies, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all children.
Skills & Experience:
- ACECQA recognised Certificate III or Diploma in Early Education and Care
- Current ACECQA approved first aid, CPR, anaphylaxis and asthma certifications or willingness to obtain
- Current ACECQA approved Child Protection training (or willingness to obtain)
- Fluency in Italian and strong understanding of Italian culture
- NSW WWCC
- Availability to work between the hours of 7.00am - 6.10pm
- Understanding of current early education and care legislation and regulations including the EYLF and NQS
- Self-motivation and initiative
- Demonstrated strengths-based approach in working with children and their families
- Sound ICT skills
- Working knowledge of Education and Care Services National Law and Regulation, Child Protection legislation and regulation and National Quality Framework
