Job Description

As Program Coordinator you will be responsible for overseeing the day to day operations of your Program. A key deliverable of this role is the coordination of service delivery, accountability for program outcomes and responsibility for the management and outputs of employees within the line management chain. A key requirement of this position is the ability to work within relevant funding guidelines and agreements, legislative requirements , policies and procedures.

Key responsibilities

* Oversee the coordination of the Program ensuring accountability for program outcomes, staff performance, financial viability and service provision

* Coordinate successful operational outcomes ensuring the effective and efficient utilisation of financial, human and physical resources

* Undertake regular evaluations of client care and service provision which focus on client outcomes, reduction of inefficiencies and quality improvement

* In consultation with the Senior Manager, develop and implement client-focused operational strategies which improve program outcomes in accordance with the Service Agreement

* Review and coordinate financial expenditure, maintaining oversight of all aspects of business operations and raising issues of expenditure and viability with the Senior Manager as required

* Ensure the delivery, active promotion and provision of a holistic approach to care and client support in accordance with our clients mission and values

* Maintain and promote adherence to policies and procedures, the model of service and operational compliance

* Facilitate capacity building through leadership, mentoring and coaching activities which focus on regular feedback and management of direct reports and creating a culture which supports our clients mission and values

* Ensure program compliance with funding guidelines, the Service Agreement and applicable legislation including maintaining program professionalism and reputation and confidentiality of information

* Develop professional relationships with external and internal stakeholders, including active engagement in meetings and networking events which market, promote and support program operations within the broader Society and community

* Undertake administrative tasks as required including reporting, documentation, stock management and control and rostering arrangements in accordance with employment agreements and legislative requirements

* Lead a culture of safety, operational excellence and continuous improvement throughout the operations, with demonstrated year on year improvements in all areas

* Comply with all WHS duties and responsibilities in accordance with the document WHS Directive: WHS Roles and Responsibilities (up to and including "Supervisors / Managers") and the WHS Act 2011.

* Undertake other duties, which are assigned from time to time by your Manager

* In all duties, comply with the behavioural expectations set out in the clients Code of Conduct, and our policies and procedures

Qualifications and experience

* Tertiary qualification in Community Services or industry qualification (E.g. DV or trade) as relevant to the Program

* Demonstrated program coordination and leadership skills, including human resources and financial management, quality assurance, risk management and reporting

* Knowledge of and ability to work within relevant funding guidelines and legislative requirements relating to the delivery of program outcomes and safety and risk

* Previous experience as a coordinator of equivalent senior position with accountability for operational outcomes and direct reports

* Ability to lead and manage others including well-developed interpersonal, communication and organisation skills
