About the Role:
We are recruiting for an experienced Diploma qualified Early Childhood Educator, based in the East and South of Melbourne to work in an excellent Christian based Early learning Centre, attached to a College school in the suburb of Lilydale
This is a part time, ongoing role, commencing in January 2025 for 31.5 hours per week in the Toddler Room (2-3 years old).
The Early Learning Centre is part of a college who provides Christian education from Early Learning to Year 12. Candidates must be willing to support and actively promote the Christian-based values and ethos of the College, based on the mission of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
Key duties:
· To provide a friendly, secure and stimulating learning environment for all children attending the Centre
· Assist in the planning and implementation of programs (including early learning encounters based on Christian principles and values) which meet the developmental, cultural and individual needs of children in care.
· Support Team Leaders and other Educators to implement and evaluate learning experiences in partnership with families; in accordance with the ELYF and NQF.
· Work collaboratively with a team of educators to implement a program that places importance on care and education.
· Demonstrate a professional level of written and verbal communication skills.
Skills & Experience:
· Fully Completed a relevant Qualification in Early Childhood Education (Diploma in ECE)
· Have experience working in Long Day Care with a sound knowledge of EYLF and NQF
· Valid Victorian Working with Children Check
· Current certificates in First Aid, Emergency Asthma Management and Anaphylaxis Management (or a willingness to obtain training in these areas)
· Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
· Flexibility to work between 7.30am - 6.00pm
· Ability to provide contact details for two education-based references from within the last 5 years (student teacher mentors are acceptable).
Desired Skills & Experience:
· Previous experience working in Long Day Care with a range of ages 0-5.
