Key Duties:
- Create high-quality communication materials for Aboriginal communities to promote understanding of policy and advocacy work.
- Develop and execute communication strategies to build public support for community-driven policy change.
- Gather, report, and utilise community feedback to inform advocacy and policy development.
- Represent the organisation in meetings with various stakeholders, ensuring alignment with community priorities.
- Support the establishment of mechanisms to capture community input for advocacy and strategy.
Key Skills/Experience:
- Proven experience in community engagement, especially within Aboriginal communities.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for building effective relationships with Aboriginal peoples and communities.
- Interest in how policy and community voices can impact outcomes for Aboriginal children, families, and communities
