About the Role:

This position focuses on overseeing family violence and family services programs, driving strategic initiatives, fostering partnerships with government and community stakeholders, and ensuring high-quality, client-centred service delivery.

Key Duties:

  • Lead, manage, and motivate teams to foster a culture of inclusion, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Plan, develop, and monitor service delivery in alignment with legislative, government, and contractual requirements.
  • Oversee family violence response programs and service delivery to align with strategic objectives.
  • Lead the implementation of innovative programs and service offerings.
  • Deliver accountable and professional services adhering to legal and safety standards.
  • Provide regular clinical supervision and reflective practice for self and team.
  • Create and manage team and program budgets to meet business requirements, where required; aid in tender writing.
  • Ensure adherence to relevant laws, regulations and standards, including risk assessment frameworks.

Skills and Experience:

  • Tertiary Qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling, or other relevant Human Services qualification and/or experience
  • Experienced people manager and leader, minimum 3 years managing a large team within the sector
  • Deep understanding of child protection, out-of-home care, family violence, and family support systems, with a focus on trauma-informed approaches.
  • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop staff and programs aligned with strategic objectives.
  • Skilled in business development, working within funding environments, and translating complex issues into actionable plans.
  • Strong capability to implement and manage evidence-informed programs to improve client outcomes.
  • Ability to thrive in changing situations, manage multiple demands, and maintain a solutions-focused approach.

You will also need to be willing to provide 2x professional references + undergo a Working with Children Check and Police Check.
